Parfum is the French term that means “perfume”. The terms “perfume” and “parfum” are used interchangeably, as they are essentially synonyms for one another. Parfum refers to a scientific blend of extracted and fragrant essential oils, liquid solvents and synthetic additives to offer a specifically pleasurable aroma. In perfumery, a parfum is typically sprayed or applied to the body in order to achieve a desired scent representation that lingers on the skin.
