    We use both botanical ingredients and synthetic ingredients. We do this because “natural” doesn't always equal safe or sustainable. Using 100% natural or naturally derived—and in some cases rare—ingredients can irritate our skin and harm our planet. Combining the power of nature with the advancements of science provides our perfumers with a more diverse and considerate fragrance palette.

    Take sandalwood, for example. Harvesting this vulnerable species means harming its environment. In an effort to source responsibly, we use third-party tested, lab-created synthetics that are identical to what’s found in nature.

    We’re honest about the ingredients we’re using, how we’re sourcing them and where they’re coming from. We do not use parabens, phthalates, sulfates or any other questionable materials or common skin irritants. We won’t test on animals. Ever.

    We don’t have all the answers, but we are committed to evolve as more education and innovation becomes available.
