My Order

We ship to the contiguous U.S. only.

All orders are shipped through USPS. We ship to US residential addresses and are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes. There is free shipping on all US orders with ground shipping. 

What if I have an APO or FPO address? 

Because APO/FPO addresses are often international, we are not able to ship to them. 

What if I'm in Alaska or Hawaii?

We're now selling through Sephora which is able to serve Alaska and Hawaii both online and in store. Sephora carries our full-size bottles, as well as curated Sample Sets that include Hanami, Améline, and Sandara. What if I'm in Canada?

Standard shipping is free for orders over $40 and typically takes 3-7 days. For orders under $40, standard shipping will be charged $5.95.

Fragrance and candle wax can change when exposed to extreme temperatures. However, your bottle or candle should be fine if exposed to minimal hot or cold air while in-transit. If anything is wrong with your item when you receive it, please contact us at: support@phlur.com

Sometimes USPS will scan a package prematurely. This will cause your order to show as delivered (when it really hasn't been yet). Because of this, we'd recommend waiting about 48 hours to see if you don't recieve it, contact us at support@phlur.com

We know that buying scented products online can be tricky—so we developed the Sample Set. Our fragrances are made in the USA.

Conventional fragrance brands use chemicals called phthalates to make your scent last longer on your skin. We intentionally don't use this chemical, as we find that it's potentially irritating to skin. We feel a safer option is to simply reapply throughout the day. You can always apply your fragrance to hair or clothes, as it will naturally last longer. 

Another tip we recommend for a longer-lasting scent is to apply unscented lotion to your skin before spritzing. Lotion acts as a great base and a powerful holding agent.

Irritation to conventional fragrance is one of the reasons we started Phlur. Many people have negative reactions to the unnecessary additives and stabilizers and have done our best to minimize the use of irritants. We specifically do not use BHT, parabens, phthalates, coloring, and certain synthetic raw materials that have been shown to be problematic.

All of our fragrances are tested in extreme environments to ensure that short exposure to things like heat do not damage the scent. The fragrances will never go bad from a health perspective, but over time as the scents oxidize they will change and mature, usually over two years. After that point the scent will likely smell more “concentrated,” less bright and open, at which point you might want to replace your bottle.

Our bottles can be recycled safely once the atomizer is removed (which can be done with pliers). We’re working on a next generation bottle to make it easier to remove the atomizer, as we could not find one standard in the industry.

The general shelf life is 2 years.

We’ve formulated everything to be gentle for sensitive skin.

All our body care products are made in the USA.


Once you've finished your body care, you can toss the tube in the recycling bin.  

All our candles are made in the USA. They’re made with 100% vegetable wax (85% soy, 10% coconut, 5% cottonseed) for a clean, paraffin-free burn. 

Our 6oz candles burn for 40 hours, and our 8oz candles burn for 50 hours.


Before that first burn (and before all that follow), trim the wick to roughly 1/4” inch. This keeps the spent wick from falling into the wax, which in turn will blacken the vessel (and make a weird hissing sound). It also prevents an overlong (and potentially hazardous) flame.


We recommend your first burn be for at least a couple hours to make sure the wax pools edge to edge at the top. This will prevent tunneling, help your candle burn evenly and ensure you get the full burn time from your candle.


Ingredients

Yes, our products are vegan, we do not use any animal by-products. We are also cruelty-free, Leaping Bunny certified and take great pride in intentional formulation, which you can read more about on our about us page.

We are not certified organic, nor are we 100% botanically-based, as we do not believe that to be the most important lens for considering the ingredients of a fragrance.


The ingredients we use are fair trade, and are sourced with sustainable practices in mind. When we form partnerships with our suppliers and manufacturers, we ask for statements from their company to certify that they comply with our sourcing requirements.


Yes, our products are hypoallergenic. They're also gluten-free and do not contain wheat, barley, rye, and oats.


We use both ingredients derived from nature and ingredients created in a lab. In each case, we ensure that the raw materials are non-toxic and hypoallergenic. Using ingredients from both categories allows us to create products in a more sustainable manner, and to avoid many skin allergens found in products derived only from plants.

We’ve ensured that everything going into the bottle, and onto your skin, is hypoallergenic and free of parabens, phthalates, unnecessary additives and stabilizers like BHT, and, of course, non-toxic. In addition, we’re vegan and cruelty-free in the sourcing and testing of all of our formulations.

While we've excluded ingredients that are known to be potential endocrine disruptors and may persist in mother’s milk, there are still a lot of unknowns about the critical development phases of embryos, so we believe the safest choice is to avoid wearing fragrances during pregnancy—especially during the crucial first trimester.

Yes, and that’s actually one of the reasons we started our brand. We learned that many people have negative reactions to the unnecessary additives and stabilizers included in so many fragrances. We've done our best to exclude and minimize the use of those irritants, and hence specifically do not use BHT, parabens, phthalates, coloring, and certain synthetic raw materials that have been shown to be problematic.


While nothing is perfect, so far we've received overwhelmingly positive feedback from folks with scent sensitivities, so it seems like we're on the right track.

We've removed many additives typically found in other fragrances, which often are the trigger to a negative respiratory reaction. To that end, we've had many customers with respiratory sensitivities tell us our fragrances are the first they've worn that don't cause a reaction. That said, everyone is obviously different, and we cannot predict how your friends themselves might react. If you do order, we suggest skipping Siano, as it contains a salicylate which some believe bothers people with asthma.

To cancel your subscription, log in here and click on My Subscriptions in your account settings. Then, click Cancel This Subscription. Keep in mind—if you cancel your subscription without a renewal, the money you saved on your first bottle (or candle) will be charged to your card as that discount is only for the subscription. This is because, without the second bottle (or candle), you aren’t actually getting a subscription.
